Hooked Rug and Homelife Museum

Our museum, featuring the Elizabeth LeFort Gallery and the Marguerite Gallant Collection, displays hundreds of antiques reflecting the daily life of the Chéticamp settlers. Prominent are examples of tools and demonstrations of techniques used in the creation of the world-renowned Chéticamp hooked rugs.

Our gallery showcases some of the finest works by local craftspeople and hooked rugs, both traditional and contemporary. More information on our archival collection is available by clicking here.

Open mid-May to mid-October from 8:30 am to 5:00pm (6:30 pm in July and August) or by appointment. We welcome group tours. For information, contact us at 902-224-2642.
